How and when do I receive my project quote?

We provide detailed project quotes during an in-person proposal review at our showroom two weeks after the initial consult. Email quotes are sent only after this review, confirming everyone is on the same page.

What does the TrexPro® Residential Limited Labor Warranty cover as a Platinum Trex Installer?

As a Platinum Trex Installer, Holmes Custom Renovations offers a comprehensive TrexPro® Residential Limited Labor Warranty. This warranty covers all reasonable labor expenses for replacing defective Trex® products (decking, railing, fascia, fasteners, and/or Elevations®) under the Trex Limited Warranty or Trex Limited Fade and Stain Warranty. The duration of this warranty is as follows:

  • 5 Years for either Trex decking or railing only
  • 10 Years for both Trex decking and railing together

To qualify for the extended 10-year coverage, both the decking and railing must be installed, with the railing components being exclusively Trex Signature® and/or Transcend® materials.

Are any Trex products excluded from this labor warranty?

Yes, this labor warranty excludes Trex Enhance® Basics decking and fascia, and Trex Select® and Enhance railings.

Are there financing options available for my project?

What happens after I sign the agreement with Holmes Custom Renovations?

Once you sign with us, we collect a deposit and schedule your project, typically within two weeks. We’ll send you a tentative start date. Please note that we are usually booked 3-6 months in advance.

Monthly Updates:

We strive to keep you informed by providing monthly updates on your project’s status. This ensures that you are always aware of any developments or shifts in the schedule.

Communication on Delays:

If there is any change from the initial tentative start date we communicated, we make it a priority to inform you as soon as possible. Open and timely communication is key to our client relationships.

Factors Influencing Start Dates:

Several factors can influence the adjustment of start dates, including:

Employee Health or Family Issues:

Our team’s well-being is paramount, and unforeseen health or family emergencies can affect scheduling.

Weather Conditions:

As we work on exterior projects, adverse weather conditions can sometimes delay the start of a project.

Change Orders:

Modifications to the project scope, whether due to additional damage discovered during the work or changes requested by you, can lead to adjustments in the timeline.

Does Holmes Custom Renovations work year-round? Yes, we work throughout the year. However, when temperatures drop below 20 degrees, it’s up to our crew’s discretion whether to work that day.

What is the pre-construction meeting? Around 4-6 weeks before your project begins, our production manager and project consultant will meet with you at your home. This meeting is crucial for finalizing last-minute details and ensuring everything is set for construction.

How will I be updated about my project’s progress? A week before your project begins, we will create a group text that includes our admin, owner, production manager, project consultant, and foreman. The foreman will provide daily text updates, along with progress photos, on the work that has been completed and the goals for the following day. Additionally, any weather-related delays will also be communicated through these daily updates.
